Wappan Station is one of Victorias largest sheep and cattle stations (10,000 acres) and only a two hour drive from Melbourne. The property has been owned by the Tehans for five generations.

There is a misinformed, negative and naive image amongst many people about rural life in Australia.

Come and learn and experience Wappan for yourself and witness this truly unique rural setting.

Wappan is one of Australia's most scenic sheep and cattle stations(16,000 merino sheep and 350 cattle) situated in the heart of the High Country, where the "Man from Snowy River" was filmed.

Wappan is only two hours from Melbourne, right on the shores of Lake Eildon with views of Australia's premier ski resort, Mt Buller. At high water level Lake Eildon is one of Australia's largest freshwater lakes stretching almost 500km, much of it is only accessible by boat.

Wappan has a rich aboriginal history.  Previous owners "The Bons" gave sanctuary to many aboriginal people who survived massacres in the 1840's. Many were paid to work here while they maintained their traditional lifestyles.

Wappan Station is very attractive to people who want to walk, fish, waterski, view farm operations (refer to calendar of farm events) or just want to relax. Nearby High Country trails are ideal for horse riding and bushwalking and the year around ski resort of Mount Buller is a convenient fifty minutes away.
